The sun shone brightly on the Forest Hill Golf Club in Bloomfield, NJ, on July 23, 2024, as the 16th Annual NHASF Golf Tournament teed off. Over 60 golfers and dinner guests participated in a day of friendly competition and generous giving. The event was a resounding success, raising over $150,000 for the 2024 NHASF Scholarship recipients!
This year's deserving scholars are Cieana Rodriguez (Rutgers University - Newark), Jaylah Judd (Montclair State University), Onnieya Martin (Georgian Court University), Aaliyah Naylor (Union County College), Angel Lopez (Essex County College), Rashawn Marshall (University of Maine), and Dai'Yon Spence (Rutgers University - Newark). These students represent the bright future that the NHASF is committed to supporting.
The evening's dinner was a highlight, featuring the honoring of Kevin Krier. In a touching tribute, the Geri Fund was introduced. Named in honor of Kevin's mother, this new fund will provide vital support to NHASF scholars for social necessities beyond tuition and books, ensuring they have the resources to thrive.
